Lets get my new printer decked out with some mods.
For those that don’t know, Voron is an open source 3D printer which runs on the open source firmware Klipper. Voron printers come in different flavors and this one (called Micron) is a smaller version of the popular Voron 2.4 printer. I have built the ‘base’ Micron printer printer using parts from a Formbot kit. Now it’s time to make it more personal including but not limited to these mods:
- Voron boop
- Dragon Burner Toolhead
- Galileo 2 Extruder
- Colony Clacker Door
- Cool spotlights
- Rainbow Barf
- 4.3′ Capacitive Touchscreen
- A Camera
- Another Camera
- Top Canopy
- A funky new colour scheme
- And more!
Here is a sneak peak…..!

No, those are not arbitrarily assigned colors, that’s its actual color scheme ;^)
More to come during 2026!!
17.06.2026 – Time for an Update
This is a complete overhaul, meaning all the 3d printed parts have to be re-printed with a set of new colors. I can only think of one printer which is up for the task…

And voilá! After many hours of printing we got all the components printed. For this I used ASA, which has properties similar to ABS, one of the most common materials to print in. Known for its dimensional stability in various temperatures, its ideal for Voron printers
